    1. Case Filed

      A Porsche infotainment system lawsuit alleges the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) units received software updates that caused permanent damage to the units. The alleged damage was caused on or about May 21, 2020 and allegedly causes the communication units to constantly activate and deactivate.

  1. An investigation will look into 10 complaints of total loss of power while driving the 2020-2021 Porsche Taycan.

    The luxury EV is equipped with two batteries, an 800-volt for the heavy lifting and a 12-volt auxillary battery. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) wants to know if a loss of charge in the 12V battery can deactivate the car's entire electrical system. A sudden loss of power is a killer for any vehicle, but feels particularly bad in a car that relies solely on electricity.
